You can follow this tutorial to upload the files to your hosting account. Open FileZilla FTP Client. Enter your FTP host, username, and password. You can use your cPanel username and password as your FTP user and password. Then click on Quick Connect. Enter your domain name in the Host field, such as ftp.example.com or example.com. Make sure that you are inside the public_html folder, if not then double click on it to go to the public_html folder. Under Local Site in FileZilla, open the directory where your website files are located. Right-click on your index file and choose Upload. You can view the progress of the upload in FileZilla.

You can access the FTP account using the cPanel login details, which gives you full access to the home directory. However, if you want to create an FTP user account for a specific directory, you can create a separate FTP account. Log in to your cPanel account. In the Files section, click on FTP Accounts. Under Add FTP Account, fill in the following details: Log in: Enter an FTP Username such as new-user (without space). Password: Enter your new password or use a password generator. Directory: For granting access to the entire directory of /public_html, enter public_html or change the directory path to a sub-directory such as public_html/new-user. An FTP user doesn’t have access outside the specified directory. Quota: Specify the quota in numerical words or choose unlimited. Click on Create FTP Account. If you want to delete an FTP account, you can accomplish it by following this tutorial. Log in to your cPanel account. In the Files section, click on FTP Accounts. Under the FTP Accounts list, choose Delete. Click on Delete once again to confirm and remove the FTP account. Warning: Do not use the Delete the Users Home Directory option. To change the main root FTP account, you have to change the password of your cPanel account. However, if you need to change the password of a specific FTP account, follow this instruction. Alternatively, use the password generator to generate one. Click on Change Password. Now you can access FTP with your new password.
